MEDIA ALERT: Pokémon Trading Card Game: Scarlet & Violet—Journey Together Releases Today, Featuring Trainer’s Pokémon

March 28, 2025 — Today, The Pokémon Company International released the next expansion of the globally popular Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG), Scarlet & Violet—Journey Together. The expansion is available beginning today at participating retailers around the world.
 
In Scarlet & Violet—Journey Together, players can look forward to the return of Trainer’s Pokémon to the Pokémon TCG. First introduced in the Pokémon TCG: Gym Heroes expansion, these cards showcase the special bond shared between a powerful Pokémon Trainer and their Pokémon, with each card displaying the Trainer’s name. Players can collect and play with cards featuring new Trainer’s Pokémon, including N’s Zoroark ex, Lillie’s Clefairy ex, Iono’s Bellibolt ex and Hop’s Zacian ex. Furthermore, this expansion will introduce new, unique artwork featuring various Pokémon Trainers on illustration rare, special illustration rare, ultra rare and hyper rare cards.
 
Scarlet & Violet—Journey Together is now available in booster packs, Elite Trainer Boxes and various collections at participating retailers worldwide. In addition, Scarlet & Violet—Journey Together is the first expansion to offer Enhanced Booster Displays, which each contain one illustration rare-style promo card featuring N’s Reshiram.
 
In addition, Scarlet & Violet—Journey Together is now digitally playable via the Pokémon TCG Live app for iOS, Android, macOS and Windows devices. Trainers can collect and battle with new cards featuring Trainer’s Pokémon. Furthermore, players can engage in the newly launched Trainer Trials, a new game mode featuring a rotating series of formats, including Gym Leader Challenge, that allows players to experience the Pokémon TCG in new ways. Upon login, the Scarlet & Violet—Journey Together Battle Pass will reward players with a new deck featuring Hop’s Zacian ex, and an additional deck featuring N’s Zoroark ex can be unlocked with further play.[1]
