POKÉMON GO AND NEW POKÉMON SNAP COLLABORATION ANNOUNCED: THE ‘NEW POKÉMON SNAP CELEBRATION’

15 April 2021 – London, United Kingdom: Starting 29 April, players will be able to take part in a special New Pokémon Snap and Pokémon GO crossover event!

To celebrate the launch of New Pokémon Snap for Nintendo Switch, a special event is coming to Pokémon GO! The New Pokémon Snap Celebration will give players the chance to tackle a new type of research task featuring a GO Snapshot theme, catch Pokémon with a connection to New Pokémon Snap, and even grab new camera-themed avatar items from the Pokémon GO Style Shop. Players will also be able to encounter the Painter Pokémon, Smeargle, by completing certain research tasks and checking some of their snapshots’ surroundings. Only for this limited time, lucky Trainers may even find Shiny Smeargle, so be sure to take lots of snapshots throughout the New Pokémon Snap Celebration event.

The New Pokémon Snap Celebration will run from Thursday, 29 April, at 10:00 BST until Sunday, 2 May, at 20:00 BST.
