Jan. 30, 2026 — The Pokémon Company International has released the latest expansion for the bestselling Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG), Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes, available starting today at participating retailers worldwide.
Inspired by the Pokémon Legends: Z-A video game, Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes features new characters and locations to the Pokémon TCG. Trainers can discover cards featuring new Mega Evolution Pokémon ex — including Mega Dragonite ex — and Trainer’s Pokémon. Players will also encounter returning fan-favourite Mega Evolution Pokémon ex and Trainer’s Pokémon, appearing with new illustrations.
Furthermore, Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes introduces an all-new card rarity: Mega attack rare, which features attack names in Japanese katakana as part of the card’s illustration.
Cards from Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes are now available in the following products.
- Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes Collection—Erika/Larry: Includes two Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes booster packs, one promo card featuring Erika’s Tangela or Larry’s Komala and one matching coin.
- Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes Tech Sticker Collection: Includes three Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes booster packs; one foil promo card featuring Charmander or Gastly; and one sticker sheet featuring Mega Charizard Y or Mega Gengar, respectively, for personalizing laptops, tablets and other tech devices.

- Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes Elite Trainer Box (available Feb. 20, 2026): Includes nine Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes booster packs, one illustration rare–style promo card featuring N’s Zekrom and various gameplay accessories.
- Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes Mini Tin (available Feb. 20, 2026): Includes two Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes booster packs, one art card and one sticker card matching the tin’s art.
- Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes Premium Poster Collection (available March 20, 2026): Includes 10 Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes booster packs; one Mega attack rare–style promo card featuring Mega Gardevoir ex or Mega Lucario ex; and one full-size, two-sided poster featuring a large print of the matching promo card.
- Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes First Partners Deluxe Pin Collection (available March 20, 2026): Includes five Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes booster packs; three foil promo cards featuring Chikorita, Tepig and Totodile; and one deluxe pin featuring Chikorita, Tepig and Totodile.
- Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes Mega Meganium/Emboar/Feraligatr ex Box (available April 24, 2026): Includes four Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes booster packs; one promo card featuring Mega Meganium, Mega Emboar or Mega Feraligatr; and one oversize lenticular card.
- Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes Booster Bundle (available April 24, 2026): Includes six Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes booster packs.
In addition, Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes is now digitally playable via the Pokémon TCG Live app for iOS, Android, macOS and Windows devices. Players can collect and battle with new Mega Evolution Pokémon ex, and upon logging in, the Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes Battle Pass will reward players with two new decks featuring Mega Dragonite ex and Mega Meganium ex.[1]
